Description:

On view are my some of my personal keepsakes and baby memorabilia saved by my family. In my possession, I felt it needed to be made into this assemblage. Disembodied ceramic doll parts made by my Granny mingle with my old birthday cards, doll clothes, my grandpa’s baby teeth and first haircut, pins, buttons, and a baby blanket. All of it is piled together and sewn to a large canvas I found in the trash and, finally, wrapped in suffocating pink tulle. A mirror replaces where the baby’s head would be — look inside and you too can be your own baby (with a bow on top!). I Am My Own Baby has been part of both of my shows and is not for sale.
